Exciting News from FarFromParadise.org

January 8, 2013 by Amy White Leave a Comment

Some pretty exciting things are happening around here at the FarFromParadise.org “Headquarters” and I am kicking off the New Year with a couple of exciting announcements!

To start off, I am very excited that the production of Next to Normal is going to be at the Geva Theatre (Rochester, NY) from January 8, 2013 through February 10, 2013. If you are not familiar with this production, check out more information here. This is an award-winning musical that focuses on a family’s challenges dealing with mental illness and the myriad of emotions and impacts on all involved.

For this run of Next to Normal, I will be joining members of the cast, as well as other local experts, in a Twitter conversation! Here’s more information: Geva Journal. This conversation will be on going during the course of this show. Please follow along and participate! You can follow me on twitter @farfrmparadise and submit your questions to @gevatheatre – please use the hashtag #gevaN2N

I will also be participating in a post-show Talk-back session on January 13, 2013 after the evening performance! The Democrat and Chronicle’s (Rochester, NY) Rochester Arts Blog published a nice post on my story, my blog and my participation: Rochester Arts Blog.

There are other fun and exciting things coming soon – Stay tuned!

Thank you all for your continued support, your stories and your feedback!

Please feel free to email me your thoughts and recommendations to farfromparadiseblog@gmail.com.

You can always send me an email with any questions regarding this information or any other mental health system question/inquiry.
